We've been receiving a few emails about image uploads and which sites we recommend. I recommend iUpload.info since we own it, too.

Soon iUpload.info will be used to direct-upload images to FreeBlogZone instead of using a 3rd party website.

Login & Market Place Fixed

So we've fixed the marketplace and the login page so you should not have to login multiple times to get to one area.

We will soon be opening the user classifieds section of FreeBlogZone, and new themes will be added this upcoming month!

More Updates!

So as planned, more updates are here!

Thing's we've updated:
-Added captcha to sign-up page to prevent directory spam!
-Added antispam to comments.
-Comment moderation is done.
-Forgot password page added.
-Blog Directory has been patched!

Also, we've added a content filter for FreeBlogZone admins. It will flag any accounts in which possibly have content that we do not allow. This will make it easier on us so we do not have to manually go through every blog post 1 by 1!

Tweaks

Today's Updates:
We've tweaked some of our themes to look better, we've also done a quick tweak on the administration panel. We are currently working on comment moderation so you can properly approve/decline comments.

Future Updates:
-You will be able to add your own 800x110px banner (optional).
-Full release of FBZ Market Place and Points system.
-Forgot Password page will be up and working.
-Captcha's will be added to prevent spam.
-Blog Directory Patch.

Case-Sensitive Username's

Some users were unable to login due to case-sensitive username's. We've now updated our system so you may log in whether your username is UseRnAmE or Username.

Please keep in mind that passwords are still case-sensitive for security reasons.

Slight Downtime

Auto-Twitter Status Updater Option

New feature added, optional twitter status updater.

This feature will automatically update your status on Twitter to "Username has just posted a new article called 'article_name' at http://yourblog.freeblogzone.com"

To enable this option, go to your administration panel. Now go to "Twitter Status Updater" and input your Twitter account information, don't forget to enable this option by checking the checkbox!

Domain Length, Ad Tweaks, and Articles

So before, the maximum domain length was 15 characters!? That was pretty horrible, so we've increased the maximum length to 50.

Also, adsense was not working for most.. It works perfect now though.
Please make sure if you use Adsense, that you place your adsense ID into the box.
This is found when you login to adsense, on the top right corner (pub-xxxxxxxxxxxx).

We've also fixed the articles. Before you were unable to view comments for an article if it had "!" or "'" characters, that has been fixed.

Bug Patches

August 10, 2009

A few of our members reported some login problems in which did not allow them to log in.

We've patched the bug. We have also patched the bug in which did not allow long posts.

We've also upgraded the server in which FreeBlogZone is on. It should be able to hold about 4,000 new blogs before a new server will need to be added.

FreeBlogZone Opening

August 04, 2009

After a couple months of coding, we've finally opened!

First thing is first, security! We have made our website and servers very secure by first using secure code, and also using WebWall v1.2. Webwall v1.2 is an advanced firewall in which blocks attack attempts like SQL Injection, and RFI/LFI attacks just in-case we've somehow missed something.

We are also currently working on some more themes in which should look much better than the standard ones in which we currently have available.
